A Word for 2012

As I was sitting on my bed seeking God concerning the new year, a word dropped in my Spirit. Its a simple word, but one that everyone of us can take to heart. Now over the years many preachers have used various gimmicks of slogans to match the upcoming year, but I’m not going to do any of that. You know, like:

2008, the year you will be great

2009, say out loud, this year I will get mine

2010, the year you will win

2011, the year you will experience heaven.

I’m not a fan of these rhyming gimmicks. It seems like year after year, most people are in the same spot, yet hoping just because it is a new year things will miraculously change for them. Like I said, I don’t believe in these type of tactics. What I do believe in is renewing your mind to the Word of God. I believe in spending so much time in His presence that you download your personal instructions directly from heaven.  So for a cute slogan, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but this Word for 2012 is for those who seriously seek His face and would like to know what is heaven really saying.

Ok, now back to the word for 2012. As I was sitting on my bed, 2 scriptures came to me. Isa 60:1-5, and 2 Cor 6:14-18. I’ll paraphrase these two scriptures. In Isaiah, God is telling the people to arise and shine for the glory of the Lord is risen among the people. Among a time of intense darkness, the glory of the Lord is rising brighter among his people. The light is shining so bright that the Gentiles from the far corners of the earth are drawn to this light. In Corinthians, Paul is telling the people to not be yoked to unbelievers. What fellowship does righteous have with unrighteousness, what communion does light have with darkness? Come out from among the heathen and be separate. The Lord then shall be your father and you shall be sons and daughters of the Most High God.

That is a background for what God is saying for 2012. Now here is what the Lord is saying about 2012:

There is about to be an intense shifting in the US economy, and many of the people will weep and cry out. Many will cry out to God, and many others will curse God, as their situation seems hopeless and getting worse. Yet in the midst of this darkness, the Lord is raising up his people. He is filling his people with the light of God, and it shall be made manifest in the form of health and an increase in finances, and divine wisdom for solutions, as the rest of the world is struggling. Just as the land of Goshen was untouched when Egypt was going through plague after plague, so shall God’s people be protected. An unusual amount of natural disasters shall hit the United States, but do not lose courage and you and your family shall be protected. All of these signs represent the internal struggle that is in the heart of the United States, the battle within. Is the country going to be a godly nation? or be just like the heathen nations?

This year God will make His presence known through many high profile individuals with influence, in the areas of sports, entertainment, and politics. By openly professing that they are with the Lord it will outrage many, yet even more will come to know the Lord through their display of unexplainable signs and wonders.

So how do you position yourself to receive this overflow that God is pouring? Many Christians will see it with their eyes only and not taste it. The answer is to separate yourself. God is saying to come out from among the world. Stop trying to be undercover Christian agent. By blending in with the world, you will get the world’s results and be among those weeping, complaining, and questioning God.If the Israelites blended in with the Egyptians, they would have been wiped out, just like them. Trust that God can keep you during these times. Hold on to the Word, hold on to your promise, for it will not fail you. The Word cannot fail you.

It will be a year of intense weeping and intense rejoicing. Which one will you do this year?
