Prophecy Teaching Moment: Pull the Trigger!

This is a quick post but I think this will really help someone. This is strictly for those who are serious about doing the works of Jesus and moving in signs and wonders.  There is a certain level of risk that comes with stepping out on your faith. The degree to which you are willing to look crazy and foolish is the extent to which God can use you. Many times as you are prophesying you will get thoughts and impressions in your spirit that seem as though it’s just too much for you.  Let me explain.

On January 2, 2012 I sent out a prophecy regarding the things that God was saying about 2012.  One of the things that I sensed strong in my spirit was how He was going to use people of influence for a showing of signs and wonders that would baffle the world. Here is an excerpt from the prophecy:

This year God will make His presence known through many high profile individuals with influence, in the areas of sports, entertainment, and politics. By openly professing that they are with the Lord it will outrage many, yet even more will come to know the Lord through their display of unexplainable signs and wonders.

Now while I was prophesying that word I sensed that God wanted to go deeper. However it seemed so outlandish that I was not willing to risk it. I sensed that He wanted to go deeper in the area of sports and a display of signs that could not be explained.

Fast forward to January 8, 2012, Tim Tebow, an outspoken believer and quarterback for the Denver Broncos, in an incredible show after performing horribly the past 3 weeks wins the game in an extraordinary way.  Now I love sports as much as anyone, but here is the supernatural sign. He threw for 316 passing yards, and averaged 31.6 yards per pass. Anyone who has ever been to church at least once in their life has heard of John 3:16, the salvation verse.  Also, the television rating for that football game was also an amazing 31.6. This caused an incredible amount of Google searches on 3:16 and over 9,000 tweets per second regarding the topic. I would say that classifies as a sign.

The prophetic word was indeed accurate, but here is the teaching point that I want to illustrate. If you are willing to go beyond your comfort zone, God will use you beyond belief. Saying the name ‘Tebow’ in my prophecy was simply beyond my comfort zone. I share this to encourage you if you are ever in that position,  trust God that He is speaking through you and He is the one giving you the words to say.  Be willing to say names that come to your mind or places that you sense in your spirit. Dare to go from ‘that was very accurate, thank you‘ to ‘Wow! I’m beyond speechless (with tears streaming down their face). Learn from what I did, and dare to baffle the world!

Go ahead and pull the trigger!
